How will our relationship work?

You are under no contractual obligations as payment is made at each visit. We would prefer to earn your continued patronage based on our ability to meet your needs rather than rely on a contractual relationship.

Who will clean my home?

Your home will be cleaned by a team of two full-time, fully trained employees. For your security and your peace of mind, our staff are uniformed and covered by insurance. Among other benefits, this avoids you being exposed to the severe consequences that could result from an an accident to an untrained, uninsured daily cleaner. The insurance includes fidelity guarantee to reinforce the care we take to recruit people of good character. You also have no concerns about tax and national insurance.

While in your home, our maids are not permitted to eat, smoke or use any appliances. Our training and working practices are designed to ensure we meet all the requirements of current Health and Safety regulations.

What will Domesticlean do in my home?

Once you complete our schedule it allows us to better understand your specificcleaning needs and expectations.

In addition to any special requirements noted on the schedule, our service includes the removal of cobwebs, the dusting of all surfaces, window sills and furniture. We vacuum throughout, wipe cupboard fronts clean, wash floors and cleanse kitchens and bathrooms.

We provide special services such as oven cleaning and refrigerator cleaning on request.

At what time will the Domesticleanteam be at my home?

We normally work Monday to Friday from 9.30am - 5.00pm. We are unable to give a specific time on a service day, but we make every effort to meet customers' preferences.

Do I need to provide any cleaning equipment or supplies?

No, these are provided by Domesticlean Staff and their use is covered by our insurance.

If you hold the keys to my home, who will have access to them?

Keys are kept in a safe and only the Office Manager and Team Members who clean your home have access to your keys. The only identification is an individual key code number, the reference to which is always kept separate from the keys.

What happens if I have not provided akey and nobody is available to let the maids in, or they are locked out?

We are obliged to charge you as we are unable to re-assign the Domesticlean team to other work at such short notice.

Do I have to do anything before my home is cleaned?

We ask you to spend a few minutes tidying when necessary. This will enable us to devote all our time cleaning and give you the best value for your cleaning fee.

How do I pay for the service?

You pay on the day the cleaning is done. Most customers find it convenient to leave a cheque payable to Domesticlean on the kitchen table or work surface, or if you prefer by standing order arrangement.

What happens if my scheduled cleaning falls on a statutory holiday?

We contact you to make alternative arrangements.

What if I don't want cleaning to be done whilst I'm away on holiday?

Please call 0800 0949 555, giving us at least 48 hours notice and we will revise your cleaning programme.

How can I arrange special requests,changes or cancellations?

Please call us, with at least 48 hours notice of your requirements.

What if something gets broken when my home is being cleaned?

We treat your home with the greatest care. But if something is damaged or broken we will contact you as soon as possible. We make every effort to have the item replaced if it cannot be repaired.

If you have any items that are of sentimental value or are otherwise irreplaceable, please let us know before your first clean so that we can make special arrangements for care.
